Managed a team of lab technicians and a team of data analysts working on the Human Genome Project, wrote software specs for a multi-user, web-based LIMS, and achieved a 7-fold ramp up in deliverables within an 8 month period.

Coordinated efforts among 6 specialized groups, developed a method to end sequence large insert sub-clones critical to the genome assembly of Methanosarcina acetivorans and Neurospora crassa, and coordinated the finishing of the Whitehead Institute Center for Genome Research’s first whole genome map.
3/1997 - 1/2000, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA - Research Assistant. Developed and operated a single-user system to sequence chromosomal DNA by adapting lab procedures and software to streamline a manufacturing process.
8/1995 - 3/1997, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL - Research Assistant. Supported research on the molecular regulation of trace metals, taught graduate students lab techniques, and worked independently on studying the effects of exercise on depression.
